Motorhome Adventure in Oberstdorf: Embracing the Alpine Beauty

In the heart of the Bavarian Alps, Oberstdorf is a picturesque town with stunning landscapes and charming atmosphere. Our motorhome journey in July 2023 led us to the Wohnmobilstellplatz in Oberstdorf, a delightful spot that became our home base for four unforgettable days.

Wohnmobilstellplatz – Oberstdorf: A Tranquil Haven

The motorhome stellplatz in Oberstdorf is centrally located, only a few minutes’ walk from the city center. Oberstdorf stellplatz has all the facilities you need for a longer stay. The peaceful ambiance allows for a serene retreat. Its location is perfect for exploring everything Oberstdorf has to offer, providing an excellent opportunity to recharge while still being close to the town’s vibrant life.

Cycling to New Heights: Fellhorn-Kanzelwand Adventure

One of the highlights of our stay was the exhilarating cycling trip to Fellhorn-Kanzelwand. We pedaled through scenic paths, immersing ourselves in the Alpine panorama. The journey culminated at the Fellhornbahn top station, an airy ride up to 1967 meters above sea level. The breathtaking views from the summit were a testament to Oberstdorf’s unrivaled beauty.

We cycled from Wohnmobilstellplatz Oberstdorf to Parkplatz Fellhornbahn approx. 7.5 km. We took Fellhornbahn up to Mittelstation Schlappoldsee (1780 m) and walked the last leg up to the Fellhornbahn top station (1967 m).

The panoramic view from the summit of Fellhorn was truly breathtaking. At this vantage point, a myriad of trails unfolded, offering a multitude of choices for exploration. Additionally, there was a option to get a cold beverage.

Exploring the Town: Oberstdorf’s Charms Unveiled

Oberstdorf isn’t just a gateway to the Alps; it’s a destination that captivates with its rich culture and welcoming atmosphere. Strolling through the town center, we discovered charming boutiques, traditional Bavarian architecture, and inviting cafes. The blend of modern amenities and alpine traditions creates an enchanting ambiance that lingers in memory.

In conclusion, our time in Oberstdorf left us with a taste of the town’s charm and the breathtaking natural surroundings. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to explore everything we would have liked to see. We can’t wait to return and experience more of what Oberstdorf has to offer.
